Microsoft Keep Win 8 from HTC Tablets

On Computex show in Taipei this week, Toshiba, Acer and Asus unveiled their tablets with Win 8. Others company will also show their devices later, but without HTC.

According to the Bloomberg report on Thursday, Microsoft keep Win 8 from HTC tablets. To compete with iPad, Microsoft want ARM-based reach a high quality. In the opinion of Microsoft, the sales amount and experience of making tablets of HTC cann’t meet their expectations.

An HTC spokesperson told: “Today, we’re confirming out support for future versions of Windows but aren’t commenting on the specifics of our product plans beyond that. That may means that HTC is not the only one barred.

Microsoft refused to comment on it.

Even though barred from Win 8, HTC will still use Windows Phone. The spokesperson told us, “HTC has sold more than 40 million Windows Phones over the last ten years and we are committed to future versions of Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform more than ever,”
